#8: Be a Food Allergy Helper! One Year Anniversary

On this episode I am talking with Olive Phan, who illustrated my first children’s book, Be a Food Allergy Helper! Olive found her design inspiration for this work from her childhood, including Elmo’s World and the Animal Crossing game.

In addition to sharing her creative process behind the artwork, Olive and I also discuss the importance of representation in food allergy books for children and the use of art in validating emotions and experiences. And now, let’s talk food allergies!
